The Royal Kingston Curling Club (RKCC) in partnership with Kingston Gets Active (KGA) is hosting Grades 5 and 9 ActivPass students for on ice curling on the following Sundays:
October 19th 2025
November 16th 2025
December 14th 2025
January 18th 2026
February 22nd 2026
March 15th 2026
Each session is from 12:45 pm to 2:15 pm and it is important to arrive fifteen minutes early to get ready.
There is no fee for this curling activity however, pre-registration is required. Please use our online event registration to sign up. You may sign up for as many times as you can make it.
Please note that all curlers must complete the Concussion Safety protocol and please follow the link to read the information and have your parent/guardian sign the required form. You can print the form from our website or complete it when you arrive at the club. When you complete the form, it is saved in a confidential file and you only need to complete the form once per season.
What should I bring? When you come for curling you will need a pair of clean running shoes, perhaps the ones you use for gym class at school, warm gloves, a sweater or jacket and a CSA approved helmet. Wearing a helmet is mandatory and your bicycle helmet or hockey helmet would be great. Please note that parents/guardians of curlers thirteen years and older may sign a waiver to exempt their teen’s use of a helmet while on the ice.
Our volunteers will help the Grade Five and Grade Nine ActivPass holders with:
- Safety preparations – slider tape and gripper
- Use of the club brooms
- Access to the lounge
- On ice help and instruction to be safe, learn to throw some curling rocks and sweep along the ice.
- Having fun.
